2022 TOURNAMENT 28 AND 29 MAY 2022

We are delighted to be hosting our tournament again this year.

We adopt the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it approach" so for our regular visitors it will be a case of pretty much same again.

We will, of course be delighted to welcome returning and new teams. In 2021 we had to turn away over 60 teams so please get your entries in early - details and the Entry Form are at the bottom of this page

Like many other clubs the lead up to our 2021 tournament was dominated by COVID-related concerns. In the week prior to the tournament we received daily calls from coaches advising that they were having to pull out their team because many of their players were having to isolate. Thank goodness we had over 70 teams on our waiting list

Having postponed the tournament we were fortunate that the Schools at Somerhill in Tonbridge, who host us. permitted us to extend beyond our usual one day event.

Across Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday we welcomed 180 teams with about 1500 players competing across 9 age groups. There was a positivity all weekend that suggested that everyone was happy to get back to enjoyable outside events.

With the final of Euro 2020 on the Sunday evening finishing on time was cruical -  we did so thanks to the efforts of referees and coaches.

All 280+ children participating in the Under 7 and Under 8 age groups took home a memento from the event - we look forward to seeing you again next year and for the next few years.

Once again we ran both Cup and Plate competitions for the Under 9 to Under 15 age groups giving lots of players the chance to be 'winners'.

Thanks to all of the teams choosing to attend our tournament. We really appreciate you opting to participate in our tournament and hope that you will visit us again in future years, It is always pleasing to receive positive feedback to know we are getting most things right. Here is a selection of the feedback received:

Just wanted to say thanks for today. I was there all day with the u8 in the morning and the u12 in the afternoon and it was a really great day. I / we know how much organisation days like this take and it was such a smoothly run event. (Otford)
